The markup at Total Jewelry is 70%. If the wholesale price of a necklace is $130, what will the store charge as the retail price for the necklace?

Answer: I am assuming that you are using edge so it is C. 221. The other person who answered it has a great explanation so you can go off of theirs.

Explanation:

The original percent is always 100%. Add the markup, 70% to 100% to find the total percent charged.

100% + 70% = 170%

Change 170% to a decimal by moving the decimal two places left. 170% = 1.70

Multiply the decimal and the wholesale price.

$130 x 1.70 = $221
