Our customer retention rate has decreased 10% from last quarters goal of 250 consumers retained. We need to increase our current rate by at least 16% to meet this quarters goal. That means our target is?

well, on the last quarters we rambled about retaining 250 customers, but hell we ended up with 10% less than that

\begin{array} \cline{1-1} \textit{\textit{\LARGE a}\% of \textit{\LARGE b}}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ \left( \cfrac{\textit{\LARGE a}}{100} \right)\cdot \textit{\LARGE b} \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}~\hspace{5em}\stackrel{\textit{10\% of 250}}{\left( \cfrac{10}{100} \right)250}\implies 25~\hfill \underset{current~amount}{\stackrel{250~~ - ~~25}{\text{\LARGE 225}}}

now, we need to increase our current amount by 16% more than that

\begin{array}c \cline{1-1} \textit{\textit{\LARGE a}\% of \textit{\LARGE b}}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ \left( \cfrac{\textit{\LARGE a}}{100} \right)\cdot \textit{\LARGE b} \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}~\hspace{5em}\stackrel{\textit{16\% of 225}}{\left( \cfrac{16}{100} \right)225}\implies 36~\hfill \underset{target~amount}{\stackrel{225~~ + ~~36}{\text{\LARGE 261}}}
