Ask yourself these questions as you revise:

Does my main character deal with the conflict in a unique way that reveals his personality?
Does my exposition give the reader enough information to understand the story and its characters?
Do my rising action and climax center on the story's main conflict? Do they both lead to the resolution of the conflict in some way?
Do my falling action and conclusion show what happens to the main character after the conflict has been resolved? Do they indicate what has changed and what has stayed the same?
Do I use enough sensory details to make the scenes vivid and realistic?
Is my point of view consistently in first person? Is the perspective of the main character consistent, accurate, and compelling?
