Answer:

y + 11 = -8(x -1)

Explanation:

There are many points that are on the line. I am going to select the point (1,-11) I found this point by selecting an x. I selected 1, then I plug that into the equation to find y.

y = -8x -3

y = -8(1) -3

y = -8 -3

y = -11

(1,-11) To write an equation in the point-slope form of a line, I need at point and a slope. I found a point (1,-11) I can see from the equation that the slope is -8. the slope is the number before the x.

Here is the form for the point-slope form of a line:

y -
y_(1) = m(x -
x_(1))

y - -11 = -8(x -1)

y + 11 = -8(x -1)
