If ABC similar to EDC then we can use the similarity ratio to find the value of x

32/(3x-5) = 56/(5x-5) cross multiply the fractions

160x - 160 = 168x - 280 export like terms to the same side of the equation

280 - 160 = 168x - 160x

120 = 8x divide both sides by 8

15 = x
