Red Adair was born in 1915 in Houston, TX. Growing up poor, Adair was a hard worker and established himself as a military hero during WWII. In 1939, Adair began working for Myron Kinley putting out oil fires. In 1962, Adair made a name for himself and earned a reputation as a fearless fire fighter when he worked diligently to put out a fire at a cigarette lighter company that had been burning for six months.
