Δ XYZ and Δ CBA are similar ( AA postulate )

The corresponding sides are then in proportion , that is


(YZ)/(BA) =
(XY)/(CB) ( substitute values )


(YZ)/(8) =
(25)/(10) = 2.5 ( multiply both sides by 8 )

YZ = 8 × 2.5 = 20 cm
