40 times some number (the scale factor) is 75

Let x = the scale factor

40x = 75 Divide both sides by 40


(40x)/(40) =
(75)/(40)

x = 1.875 This is are scale factor.

Take side YZ and multiply its length of 32 by the scale factor to find x.

32(1.875) = 60
