How do you find the y-intercept of a standard form equation?

Explanation:

ok so standard form is

Ax+By=C

and its actually really simple

when you want to find the y-intercept

set x to 0

it will look something like

A(0)+By=C

By=C

y=C/B

It makes more sense with actual numbers

so

3x+2y=4

3(0)+2y=4

0+2y=4

2y=4

y=2

therefore the y intercept would be 2

for that equation

but you can do the same for x-intercept

just set y to 0
