Answer:

(6, 0.5)

Explanation:

midpoint = x1+x2/2 , y1+y2/2

midpoint = 2+10/2 , 9+(-8)/2

midpoint = 12/2, 1/2

midpoint = 6, 0.5

Let (x1,y1) be (2,9) and let (x2,y2) be (10,-8)

The formula for the midpoint of a line segment is

(x1+x2/2,y1+y2/2)

So we get

((2+10)/2, (9+(-8))/2)

This gives us

(12/2,1/2)

So the midpoint between these two points is

(6,0.5) hope this helps!
