Perimeter is the measurement around the rectangle.

We have two widths and 2 lengths. The lengths are equal to 2 widths

Perimeter = w + w + 2w + 2w

Perimeter is 3 x 13.7 = 41.1

41.1 = w + w + 2w + 2w Combine like terms

41.1 = 6w Divide both sides by 6

6.85 = w

the width is 6.85 and the length is 2(6.85) = 13.7
