Explanation:

if you made no typo, then the function is

f(x) = -9^x + 1

or did you mean

f(x) = -9^(x + 1)

the answer options would suggest the second one.

because for the first one all 3 are wrong :

(0, -9)

f(0) = -9⁰ + 1 = 1 + 2 = 2

and not -9

No.

(1, 81)

f(1) = -9¹ + 1 = -9 + 1 = -8

and not 81

No.

(-1, -1)

f(-1) = -9^-1 + 1 = -1/9 + 1 = 8/9

and not -1

No.

for the second function this looks differently

(0, -9)

f(0) = -9^(0 + 1) = -9¹ = -9

the result is -9

Yes.

(1, 81)

f(1) = -9^(1 + 1) = -9² = 81

the result is 81

Yes.

(-1, -1)

f(-1) = -9^(-1 + 1) = -9⁰ = 1

and not -1

No.
