Anthony is a waiter at a restaurant. Each day he works, Anthony will make a

guaranteed wage of $35, however the additional amount that Anthony earns from
tips depends on the number of tables he waits on that day. From past experience,
Anthony noticed that he will get about $7 in tips for each table he waits on. How
much would Anthony expect to earn in a day on which he waits on 20 tables? How
much would Anthony expect to make in a day when waiting on t tables?

On a day when Anthony waits on 20 tables, he will earn $7 in tips for each table, for a total of $7 * 20 = $<<7*20=140>>140 in tips.

In addition to his guaranteed wage of $35, this means that Anthony will earn a total of $140 + $35 = $<<140+35=175>>175 on a day when he waits on 20 tables.

To find out how much Anthony will expect to make in a day when waiting on t tables, you can use the following formula:

Total Earnings = Guaranteed Wage + (Tips per Table * Number of Tables)

Plugging in the values for Anthony's guaranteed wage and the number of tables he waits on, you get:

Total Earnings = $35 + ($7 * t)

This formula shows that the total amount Anthony will earn on a given day is a combination of his guaranteed wage and the additional amount he earns in tips, which depends on the number of tables he waits on.
