It is smaller than a living cell.The study of virus is called virology.

☞ Virus has a simple structure consists of a genetic material within a protein shell(capsid).

☞ Virus cannot reproduce on its own,it needs a host cell to reproduce.

☞Virus exist in dormant state when outside the hosf cell.
