Based on the use of the data, below is a labeled graph on the axes provided below to best illustrate water movement into and out of the egg.

B. There is a difference in the % of mass change due to the fact that the egg gains mass if the solute concentration is lower outside of the egg and this causes the water to move into the egg. But if the solute concentration is higher outside of the egg, then the egg will lose mass.

C. Based on the graph, the molar concentration is about 0.32M. This is due to the fact that if Y=0 there is no change in mass which means no net water movement which is isotonic and the solute concentration inside and outside the egg will become the same.

The graph shows that water moves into and out of the egg depending on the sucrose concentration of the solution. If the solution is hypotonic to the egg cytoplasm, water will move into the egg.

Therefore, If the solution is hypertonic to the egg cytoplasm, water will move out of the egg. If the solution is isotonic to the egg cytoplasm, there is no net movement of water.

See text below

a student conducted an experiment to determine the molar concentration of solutes in chicken eggs. eggs were soaked in vinegar to remove the shells. the eggs were then placed in sucrose solutions of different concentrations. the data are shown in the table below. (b) using the data, determine the molar concentration of chicken egg cytoplasm and justify your answer.

(b)Explain why there is a difference in percent of mass change of the eggs in the different sucrose solutions.

Using the data, determine the molar concentration of chicken egg cytoplasm.Justify your answer. Hint: Don’t forget to include units!
