what type of glass has been exposed to high temperatures, so that when it breaks, it shatters into tiny pebble-like fragments that are less dangerous?

tempered glass . it’s used in windshields , and side windows in vehicles . it is exposed to heat , and is less dangerous and doesn’t “shatter” like normal glass . it almost simply falls apart .
