Explanation:

the volume (V) of a prism is calculated as

V = Ah ( A is the area of the triangular face and h is its height )

A =
(1)/(2) bh ( b is the base and h the perpendicular height )

here b = 12 and h = 6

A =
(1)/(2) × 12 × 6 = 6 × 6 = 36 cm² , then

V = 36 × 2 = 72 cm³
