Answer:

y = x - 2

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

here m = 1 , then

y = x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c substitute (5, 3 ), that is x = 5, y = 3 into the partial equation

3 = 5 + c ⇒ c = 3 - 5 = - 2

y = x - 2 ← equation of line
