for number 9, you can convert all the fractions to decimals or decimals to fractions to make simplifying easier. in this case, i’ll convert all the decimals to fractions. for the first expression (2/5 -4) you need to find a common denominator. the common denominator between 2/5 and 4 would be 5 so you multiply 4/1 by 5/5. which becomes 2/5 - 20/5. this becomes -18/5. the second one is likewise. the common denominator between 1.2/1 and 3/10 is 10. so you multiply 1.2/1 by 10/10. you get 12/10 -3/10 which is 9/10. then, because you have a parentheses you have to multiply, but first you can cross simplify. -18 and 10 are both divisible by 2 so it can be -9 and 5. now you have -9/5 times 9/5 which is -81/25. this as a decimal is -3.2

Answer: You are correct on #8

Explanation: To show work, you show long division, so essentially, 7/9 as a decimal is the same as 7 / 9, which would be 0.7 repeating or C. The answer to number 9 is A; -3.2. I hope this helps.
