You draw the line of the graph and every point on the line is a solution

Explanation:

y = mx + b You graph the b which is the y intercept. This is where the graph crosses the x axis. In this case it is -12. From that point (0,-12) You follow a pattern which is the slope. In this case the slope is -3. That mans that you move three units down and then 1 unit right.
