Answer is inequality 45x ≥ 520

Solved is 12 buses

Step by step

We will call the buses “x” as the unknown

We know each bus “x” can hold a maximum of 45 students
We know we have 520 students total
How many buses do we need?

45x ≥ 520

Divide both sides by 45 to solve for x

45/45 x ≥ 520/45

X ≥ 11.6

Since there is no such thing as .6 buses round your answer to 12 buses

12 buses will carry more than or equal to (≥) 520 students

Answer:

12 buses

Explanation:

(x --> no. of buses)

Inequality:-

520/x ≤ 45

520/45 ≤ x

11.56 ≤ x

12 ≤ x (round off the answer)

I hope my answer helps you.
