x²-12x+1 = kx - 11 ==> since both graph intersect

(4)²-12(4)+1 = k(4) - 11 ==> plug in 4 for x

16 - 48 + 1 = 4k - 11

-32 + 1 = 4k - 11 ==> simplify

-31 = 4k - 11 ==> simplify

-31 + 11 = 4k - 11 + 11 ==> add 11 on both sides to isolate k

-20 = 4k ==> solve for k

k = -20/4

k = -5
