Function f(x) is a linear function and function g(x) is defined by g(x) = f(x) + k.

If the value of k is -5, how does the graph of g(x) compare with the graph of f(x)?

the value of 'k' describes how many units the function is translated (moved vertically)

k = -5

therefore, the graph of g(x) will closely resemeble f(x) but it will be translated 5 units down.
