First we isolate y in the second equation since it’s the easiest. We do this by adding 2x
Y=2x+6
Now we can input this and substitute for equation 1
5x+3(2x+6)=-4
So we distribute to get
6x+ 18 within the parentheses
We add or subtract like terms such as 5x +6x to get 11x
-4-18=-22
Now we have 11x=-22
Divide by 11
X= -2
Now we plug this into equation 2 to solve for y
Y-2(-2)=6
Y+4=6
Subtract 4
Y=2
So
(-2,2) is the answer
Hope this helped
