First compare the given equation with

general form


{a{x}^(2)\:+\:bx\:+\:c\:=\:0}

2. step

Then find the value of discriminant

by the given equation below


\mapsto{{b}^(2)\:-\:4ac}

3. step

subsitute the value of discriminant and other given value in Quadratic formula as per the equation .


{\rightarrow{\frac{-\:b\:±\:\sqrt{{b}^(2)\:-\:4ac}}{2a}}}\\

Use this for formula

firstly

ax²+bx+c=0

and then

b±√(b²-4ac))/(2a)
