You can find the area of the prism using 2 methods.

Method #1:

Finding the area of the bottom layer of the prism.

  • => 3 x 5 = 15

Multiplying it by 2:

  • => 15 x 2 = 30 units³

Method #2

Use the volume formula to find the volume.

  • => 3 x 5 x 2 = Volume of prism
  • => 15 x 2 = Volume of prism
  • => 30 units³ = Volume of prism

Look at the top layer of the prism, The width is 3 units the length is 5 units.

Take and multiply LxW 3 x 5 which is 15.

Sense the height is 2 multiply 15 times 2 to get 30.
