There are 8 oranges, 5 apples, and 6 bananas In the fruit basket.

-Bob says the ratios of apples to bananas is 5:6
-Rob says the ratios of bananas to apples is 6:5
-Thob says that the ratios of apples and bananas to all the fruit is 11:19
Who is correct? I REALLY need an explanation.

Explanation:

a ratio is a comparison saying that for every group of numbers that there will be another group of numbers for example

the ratio of apples to bananas is

number of apples->5:6<- number of bananas

so of the ratio stays the same then for every 5 apples added to the basket then 6 bananas will also be added(works other way to)

Explanation:

all of them are correct

there are 5 apples and 6 bananas

there are 6 bananas and 5 apples

5 apples plus 6 bananas=11

8 oranges+5 apples+6 bananas=19

so the ratio is 11:19
