The regualar hippo massed 4.45 times as much as the pygmy hippo. (Not sure what I should round to)

Explanation:

First, convert each of the fractions to a whole number. To do this get the whole number to the left of the fraction multiply it by the denominator and add the numerator. Once you have found both masses. Get the mass of the regular hippo and divide by the pygmy hippos mass.

Reguar Hippo Mass Calcualtion:

24*2=48

48+1=49kg

Pygmy Hippo Mass Calcualtion:

5*2=10

10+1-11kg

Final Calcuation:

49/11=4.45kg

Answer: 4.45 times as much
