One number is 2 more than twice another number. If the sum of the two numbers

is 29, what are the two numbers?

Answer: 19 1/3 and 9 2/3

Step-by-step explanation: first divide 29 by 3 as there is a number AND there is also a number that is 2x it. 29/3=9 2/3. so one of the numbers is 9+2/3. then to get the second number you have to add 9+2/3 together. 9 2/3+9 2/3= 19 1/3. so the two numbers are 19 1/3 and 9 2/3.
