A train moving at an average speed of 40m/s takes 30 seconds to completely cross a bridge that is 100 metres long. Find the length of the train​

1100m

Explanation:

speed(v) = 40

Time(t) = 30

distance(s) = 100

Speed of train = 40 m/s, let length of train is L

Speed of train = (Length of train + length of bridge)/Time

40 = (L + 100)/30

cross multiply

40 × 30 = L + 100

1200 = L + 100

L = 1200–100

L = 1100m
