2NaI + CaCl2 --> CaI2 + 2NaCl

Step-by-step explanation:

Balancing just means they want the same number of elements on each side. *(It is not CaI, it is CaI2 because Ca has a q charge while I has a 1- charge)

Since there are two Cls on the reactant side, add a 2 coefficient o the NaCl on the product side. Now you have two Na's so add a two coefficient to the reactant side. Now you have equal amounts of all elements.
