Explanation:

4x - 6 and x + 9 are alternate interior angles which have the same measurement. Set them to equal and solve for x

4x - 6 = x + 9 Add 6 to both sides

4x = x + 15 Subtract x from both sides

3x = 15 Divide both sides by 3

x = 5

So the two angles have a measurement of 14

x + 9

5 + 9 = 14

4x - 6

4(5) - 6

20 - 6 = 14
