Area of sphere or total surface area of sphere is the region covered by a surface of a spherical object in a three-dimensional space.

It is given by the following equation:


A=4\pi r^(2); where "r" is the length of the radius of the sphere.

Example.

Say we have a sphere with a radius of 3 meters. This is hoy you calculate its surface area:


A=4\pi (3)^(2)\\ \\A=113.10

A= 113.10 m².
