The answer would be 72 sq. units

Explanation: We can find the length of one side by using the pythagorean theorem (a^2 + b^2 = c^2). If we go to the center of the parallelogram, you can count the units to each corner. Since the length from the center to a corner is 6, and the length from the center to another corner 90 degrees away from the other one is 6, we can plug those in for “a” and “b”. So, 6^2 + 6^2 = c^2... 36+36=c^2... 72=c^2. Since “c” = the length of one side, and this parallelogram looks like a square, we can estimate that the area of the parallelogram is c^2 or 72 sq inches.
