Answer:

a) 5 / 9

b) (-9) / 2; 9 / (-2)

Negative signs cancel each other out, thus (-5)/(-9) = 5/9

a negative on the entire quantity of a fraction is the same as a negative numerator divided by a positive denominator and vice versa, etc.
