D

Because the moon lacks an atmosphere and it’s day night cycle is so long, one side of the moon will spend a long time in the suns rays with no atmosphere to absorb the energy, while the other side will have no sunlight at all. The lit side will reach extremely high temperatures, and the dark side will reach extremely cold ones.
