Answer: slope = -1/4 y-intercept = -1/2

Explanation:

Given an equation in the form y = mx + b, m = slope and b = y-intercept.

We can rearrange y= -1/2 - 1/4x into that form.

y = -1/4x - 1/2

We can now obviously see that -1/4x is the slope, and -1/2 is the y-intercept.
