Explanation:

the factors are x-2+sqrt(3) and x-2- sqrt(3)

the basic form of the quadratic is x^2-4x+1, multiplying those factors together (there are 9 terms)

y=a(x^2-4x+1) is the general form

-2=a(-2)

a=1

a=(2/11)

the equation is y=x^2-4x+1
