let's firstly convert the mixed fraction to improper fraction and then multiply.

\stackrel{mixed}{2(1)/(2)}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot 2+1}{2}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{5}{2}} \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ \cfrac{3}{4}\cdot \cfrac{5}{2}\implies \cfrac{15}{8}\implies 1(7)/(8)

Hey there!

3/4 * 2 1/2

= 3/4 * 5/2

= 3(5) / 4(2)

= 15/8

≈ 1 7/8

Therefore, your answer is:

15/8 or 1 7/8

EITHER OF THOSE SHOULD WORK BECAUSE THEY ARE EQUIVALENT TO EACH OTHER!

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!
