Extinction is when all members of a species has died.

Answer:

Evidence: Five major mass extinctions of each era, movement of Earth, impact theory.

Factors: Habitat loss, introduction to new diseases/ predators, small population size, rapid environmental change

These would lead to extinction events because they fail to match the pace of environmental change.
