Which table shows a function that is decreasing only over the interval (–1, ∞)?

What answer is it and why? To me it seems it can either be C or D (One all the way to the right on the top row and one all the way to the bottom right), but I'm not sure why it would be either one over the other and would need an explanation. If it is neither C nor D I need an explanation on how to solve this question correctly.
