Explanation:

y = mx + c

Find the reciprocal and change the sign of the gradient (m), which is -
(1)/(2)

so

y =
-(1)/(2)x + c

Put in your point that you want it to intersect (4,-1):

-1 =
-(1)/(2)(4) + c

-1 = -2 + c

-1 + 2 = c

1 = c

y =
-(1)/(2)x + 1
