*pi= 3.14, diameter(d), radius(r)

circumference = 3.14 x d

since d = 2r,

2r = circumference/3.14
r = 0.5 x (circumference/3.14)
= 0.5 x (16.956/3.14)
= 2.7 yards

since area = pi x r^2,

A = 3.14 x (2.7)^2
= 22.89
= 22.9 yards ^2 (3 significant figures)

or A= 19.1 m^2
(since 1 yard = 0.9144m)

Answer:

22.89

Explanation:

if circumference= 16.956,

2pir=16.956, 2(3.14)r=16.956

6.28x=16.956

x (radius)=2.7

area of circle= pir^2

(3.14)(2.7)^2= 22.89
