The answer is,

1
(5)/(9)

Look at all of the denominators,

18, 3, 6

The greatest common multiple is 18.

Multiply all denominators by a number to get 18.

For 1/3, multiply the denominator by 6 to get 18, DO THE SAME TO THE NUMERATOR! So multiply 1 x 6 to get 6.

1/3 = 6/18

For 5/6, multiply the denominator by 3 to get 18, DO THE SAME TO THE NUMERATOR! So multiply 5 x 3 to get 15.

5/6 = 15/18

For 7/18, multiply the denominator by 1 to get 18, DO THE SAME TO THE NUMERATOR! So multiply 7 x 1 to get 7.

(This step was unnecessary since the denominator is already 18.)

Add all the numerators together.

6 + 15 + 7 = 28

So the answer as an improper fraction is 28/18

Subtract 18 from the numerator to get 1 whole.

28 - 18 = 10

Simplify 10/18 into 5/9 using GCF. (I'm not going to explain it.)

So the answer as a mixed number is 1
(5)/(9)

Answer:

14/9

Explanation:

7/18 + 1/3+ 5/6

1/3 can also be written as 6/18

5/6 can also be written as 15/18

7/18 + 6/18 + 15/8 = 28/18

28/18 can be simplified to 14/9

Hope this helps!
