They formed governmental structures, economic ideas, and, most prominent, geographical spread.

Native Americans had inhabited America long before the arrival of the colonists. With this new freedom and desire to spread population throughout the land, white Americans believed they had the authority to drive Native Americans out of their home lands and conquer tribes that prevented them from achieving their goal of a larger civilization.
