Pythagorean theorem states that for a right triangle, the sum of the squares of the legs equals the square of the hypotenuse. Therefore the other leg can be found with this formula:
2^2+b^2=3^2
4+b^2=9
b^2=5
b=sqrt(5)

So the other leg is the square root of 5 units
