Part A

Temperature at 6 a.m. was:

  • Houston = 64 °F,
  • Buffalo = - 13 °F.

The difference is:

  • 64 - (-13) = 64 + 13 = 77 °F

Part B

Temperature in Buffalo at noon was 19 °F greater:

  • - 13 + 19 = 19 - 13 = 6 °F
