6x + 2y = 14
-6x -6x
2y = -6x + 14
/2 /2
y = -3x + 7

6x + 2y = 14
-2y -2y
6x = -2y + 14
-14 -14
6x - 14 = -2y
/-2 /-2
-3x + 7 = y

so the y-intercept will be at 7, and it will be a downward slope (0,7) (1, 4) (2, 1) (3, -2) and so forth
