your answer would be 147 square feet!!

this is because if you break the composite figure into two rectangles, they would be

rectangle 1:
7 (width) x 13.5 (height) = 94.5 sq ft

rectangle 2:
15 (width) x 3.5 (height) = 52.5 sq ft


then, when you add both areas,

94.5 + 52.5

the total area is,

= 147 square feet
