PLEASE HELP ME!

Rolando imported 138 boxes of mangoes.

There were 24 mangoes in each box.

He reserved 72 mangoes for his friends and sold the rest to 3

customers.

If each customer bought an equal number of mangoes, how

many mangoes did each customer buy?

Answer:

Each customer bought 45 boxes which is equivalent to mangoes 3240 in total.

Explanation:

1. Subtract 3 boxes from the total of 138 imported boxes. ( 3 boxes are the 72 mangoes for his friends )

2. Divide 135 by 3 ( The amount of customers ) = 45 boxes per customer.

3. 45 x 24 ( The amount of mangoes in each box ) = 1080

4. 45 boxes/1080 mangoes per customer.

To recheck:

1080 x 3 ( The amount of customers again ) = 3240.

135 x 24 ( The amount of mangoes per box ) = 3240.

I Hope this helped! :)
